Social Notes

Short posts that are often pushed to social media (a.k.a. tweets).

  • @chrisfromthelc Apparently the area’s city council rep attended the ribbon-cutting and the mayor proclaimed a day for it. Sounds like as long as isn’t an eyesore, the city is fine with it. There’s a process to go through if you want the city to help pay for it, but they didn’t do that ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • This is pretty damn cool. #urbanart twitter.com/marisacharp/st…

  • @_cingraham I mean, I know the Catholic Church is very far from perfect and even with having an in-office-for-life head, cardinals retire out at age 80.

  • I’m unsettled by Musk’s #TwitterTakeover. Partly because I’m unsettled by him and partly because I’m unsettled about this “public” space becoming more private. Makes me think of a HOA going private. It already acts like a public space but not, this moves it further.

  • @TomsDigest That would be really interesting to see. I’m aiming at having a LOTH program going for my parish in the Fall so things that can help go from solemn vespers quasi-randomly for special occasions to something sustainable catches my eye.

  • Gaslighting is so toxic and why ppl do it for silly things? Form asks for three options you want saying that one will be selected for you. Ask when you’ll find out and told that you need to select the singular one you want explaining how to pick. Like bro, I ain’t the problem.
