@ChrisWiegman googling, seems an issue with iMsg on 3GS (which this is) having issues when updating to iOS6 last mth. May be a related issue

@ChrisWiegman @affordpassions that’s a possibility. Since it’s a non-critical device, I run all updates without second thought.

@affordpassions I found an off setting in Settings->Messages. Disconcerting that it seemingly just started to receive.

@affordpassions Don’t need clients thinking they’re texting me when they’re sending me iMessages that’ll never be read.

@affordpassions I just want it to go away. Only iDevice is an old iPhone that I only use for tracking runs.
