@GaryJ Since the parent relationship is defined in style.css, it breaks gracefully w/ “active theme broken” msg reverting to 2013 (3.6b3)

@GaryJ That’s it. I changed require_once to include_once in the sample theme’s functions.php. Former breaks, latter doesn’t if Gen deleted.

@GaryJ I think has to do with functions.php calling init.php. Will dig later. WP probably should check before loading functions.php…

@GaryJ I have to dig more later. It completely broke when deleting Genesis w/ child active. Didn’t with a TwentyTwelve child.
