There’s a bit of irony that the Anglican Ordinariate’s Daily Office for UK and Australia includes prayers for the US Independence Day. Why would the Commonwealth Edition include this? #Catholic

@StanBobOP My biggest current point of sadness with state of liturgy is that we don’t explore, teach, etc all of this. There’s so much depth that I stumble into.

@StanBobOP I think that’s still accurate. The sacrifice of Mass is incomplete without the priest’s reception. IIRC it harkens back to the Jewish Passover sacrifice where it isn’t complete until…
