@stevevance For ref, TX has 6.25% state-wide sales tax w/ a 2% all-other-entities (cities, emergency service districts, transit etc) cap.

@stevevance Just looked it up. Austin’s Capital Metro created in 1985 with 1% sales tax. Austin + 8 suburbs approved it, all by voters.
