@JiveDig Yeah. For us, the VOIP adapter is in the upstairs closet and connects to the home POTS wiring. We have a couple cordless phones but can plug in any old school phone in any of the home outlets.

@JiveDig Our internet service (Google Fiber) has it as an add-on for $10/month. You can also buy the same kind of device to have any Google Voice number ring to a standard phone.

@Anonymo72701618 @FrMatthewLC I said the pushes. Like, Teamsters for a Democratic Union rank-and-file org has had an upswing of energy and interest. My point is still can’t paint all unions with that same brush. The church is generally pro-union but, of course, if a union is corrupt, that’s different.

@Anonymo72701618 @FrMatthewLC I’m not sure that tracks with unions whose leadership are workers themselves or some of the more recent pushes (e.g. Teamsters) to return to a democratic leadership structure, as opposed to the service model.

@Anonymo72701618 @FrMatthewLC It’s interesting to track the more recent labor movements in the US. Unions that aren’t worker-led/organized are having a hard time. The resurgence, e.g. Starbucks et al, are a return to unions by and for the workers.
