But today, props to Aetna. I’ve been going round and round with a provider insisting we owe them ~$600 for an ultrasound (from over a year ago when Vanessa was pregnant), even though they’re in-network provider and every other ultrasound was covered.
I finally called Aetna, who then called the billing department of the provider and dealt with it while I was on the call. The provider retreated to a “We will submit this to our customer advocate” position while stating pretty clearly that they were, obviously, right.
In the end, we got a check back because they took a copay from us during a visit when they shouldn’t have. That’s a net of over $650.
