Decades ago, I celebrated the Texas 11 fleeing the state to break quorum during a redistricting special session. I’m more cynical now. I don’t see any path that would change the outcome, and this becomes just more political theatre. The conversation is about breaking quorum, not why. Not all the other problems we have.
