The American experiment is fragile. The experiment’s evolution, rightly, led to birthright citizenship. It has been understood since the amendment to mean what it is. It evolved to include Native Americans, again rightly.
Such a massive reversal through Executive Order is absolutely anti-American. It would be wrong to amend the Constitution to end it, but that would be the only way.
