  • I love the scary message from the State.

“In the guidance released Tuesday evening, the education agency said students, teachers or school districts participating in ‘inappropriate political activism’ could face the following consequences: […] Students being marked absent and districts losing state funding.” (source)

My brothers and sisters, big scary liberal Austin ISD done already marked kids as an unexcused absence if they walked out.

  • ‘old school’ in real life

Tomorrow’s edition of The Daily Texan includes a story about Coolio peforming at a fraternity party this past Friday night. Phi Kappa Psi paid $10,000 plus expenses (which included a VIP room stocked with 20 pieces of fried chicken and honey) for Coolio, most famous for “Gangsta’s Paradise”, to play a 90-minute set in front…

  • mt 3.2b3 upgrade

I’m about to upgrade the CMS to MT 3.2-beta-3. I’m currently running 3.16. 3.2b3 is supposed to be a near-final release so I’m secure enough with updating my actual site with it. Even our ministry can offer itself as a convincing excuse to be neglectful, since our exertions for the kingdom tempt us to imagine that our work may supply for our prayer. But without prayer we drift, and our…

  • protonated methane probed

I’m a dork, but as many of you know, I used to be a chemistry major. I’m still a member of the American Chemical Society and try to keep up some in the field. I don’t understand nearly as much of it as I would like. In either case, I’m reading the issue of Chemical…
